Nelson (knee) doesn't expect to play in Thursday's preseason finale versus the Chiefs, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Nelson resumed practicing early last week, but the Packers are expected to ease him back into game action, which means he's unlikely to see time in Thursday's preseason outing. He's not expected to miss any regular season games, however, so he should still be ready to go for Week 1. Once back, Nelson will immediately fill in as the Packers' top overall wide receiver.
