Patriots' Dion Lewis: Unlikely to practice this week

Head coach Bill Belichick said Lewis (knee) probably won't start practicing this week, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.

Lewis is eligible to return from the PUP list for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, but the Patriots will likely take a more cautious approach, potentially even waiting until after their Week 9 bye. The team can afford to be patient, as fellow pass-catching back James White was excellent in Sunday's win over the Bengals, catching eight passes for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns on nine targets.
