Jackson was on the field for nine of the Patriots' 56 snaps on offense in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Jets, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports. In the process, Jackson carried seven times for 15 yards in his debut with the team.
Looking ahead, we'd expect Jackson's role in the Patriots' offense to increase, but for the time being, Brandon Bolden (27 snaps Sunday) remains in the team's early-down mix, and James White's pass-catching role should remain stable. It's an arrangement that makes Jackson a speculative fantasy play in Week 17 against the Dolphins, though the veteran power back could emerge as a fantasy factor by the time the postseason rolls around.
