Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger: May have avoided concussion

Roethlisberger entered himself into concussion protocol during Sunday's game against the Seahawks, but may have actually avoided suffering a concussion, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Roethlisberger took a shot to the head late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, then made an admirable decision in reporting his condition to team doctors. Pittsburgh's medical staff has yet to confirm whether or not Roethlisberger suffered a concussion, but expect his status to be clarified sometime soon.
