Bell, who is recovering from a torn right MCL that he suffered on Nov. 1, relayed Tuesday that he has been cleared to run, pennlive.com reports.

While Bell's availability for the coming season has yet to be solidified at this stage, the fact that the 24-year-old has progressed to this point following November surgery to address his torn MCL and possible PCL damage, is nonetheless encouraging. As free agency approaches, in addition to Bell, fellow running backs DeAngelo Williams, Fitzgerald Toussaint and Daryl Richardson are under contract with the Steelers for the 2016 campaign.
