Steelers wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey caught four passes for 31 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Thursday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Ravens.
Heyward-Bey was more productive than Markus Wheaton in the absence of Martavis Bryant, who is set to return from a four-game suspension for Week 5 against the Chargers. Bryant was expected to open the season as the No. 3 wide receiver, but Wheaton has probably handed his more talented teammate the No. 2 job. With Wheaton showing so poorly this season, Heyward-Bey may still be in the mix for the No. 3 role. Of course, the role will likely come with a modest volume of targets even after Ben Roethlisberger (knee) returns, as the Steelers need to feed Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and Bryant.
