Steve Gregory announces retirement from NFL

Chiefs defensive back Steve Gregory announced his retirement from the NFL Saturday, via his management agency.

Gregory signed with the Chiefs just last week, but said in a statement that his decision was motivated by family obligations. Gregory appeared in 111 games over eight seasons, including 54 as a starter. He finishes his career with three sacks, seven interceptions and 278 tackles recorded.
