Osweiler completed 20 of 29 passes for 186 yards with a touchdown and interception in Sunday's 20-13 victory over the Lions. He also lost three yards on three rushes.

While the fact that the Texans walked way with the victory is of overriding importance, the concerns regarding Osweiler persist after another lackluster outing. He averaged only 6.4 yards per attempt, and he's now failed to hit the 200-yard mark in three of his last four games, a fairly improbable feat for an NFL starting quarterback in an era that's heavily geared towards offense. While Osweiler's performances are enough to get by with in games in which the defense is able to exert its will on the opponent, Houston may well find itself at a disadvantage any time they have to keep pace or play from behind -- a scenario that's already come to fruition on a couple of occasions this season. Following a Week 9 bye, Osweiler will face off against another underwhelming signal caller in Blake Bortles when the Texans tussle with the Jaguars.
