Peterson did not play in Thursday's preseason win over Seattle. However, head coach Mike Zimmer left the door open for Peterson to play in the next preseason game, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Peterson hasn't had a carry in a preseason game since 2011, so it's still unlikely he'll get any work before the regular season begins, as the Vikings like to play it safe with the focus of their offense. Peterson was bothered by a sore hamstring early in camp, but he's been fully practicing and it doesn't sound like an issue for the regular season.
