The Titans have given speedy wide receiver Jacoby Ford another chance. Now he must take advantage of it.

Ford was cut by the Jets last preseason and failed to hook on with any team. But Tennessee signed him to a futures contract in January. He plans to stick, even if it meams strictly on special teams.

"I'm just blessed to have another opportunity to go out there and showcase my skills, to show people I still have it," he told The Tennesseean. "I'm just trying to come in and make an impact and to do the things I can, whether it's catching the ball or on special teams."

Jones contributed 57 catches for 848 yards and three touchdowns in four seasons with Oakland. He excelled as a kick returner, but lost his job with the Raiders in 2013 before getting cut by the Jets. The setbacks stunned him, but gave him a new perspective.

"That was definitely challenging, an eye-opener, because I knew I couldn't take anything for granted," he said. "It was something I think I needed. It kind of got me back, focused and honed in."
