Hiller (hip) skated for the first time since October 28 during Monday's practice, Roger Millions of Sportsnet Calgary reports.
Hiller was seen doing individual work with the Flames' goalie coach during practice. A player will usually have to take place in a few full practices before returning to game action after an extended absence, so don't expect Hiller to be ready for Tuesday's game with New Jersey. However, with the Flames reassigning Derek Grant, it leaves an open spot on the Flames roster for whenever Hiller is activated from injured reserve.
