Bibeau was an emergency recall for the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Jonas Siegel of TSN Radio 1050 reports.
Bibeau was needed after James Reimer experienced tightness following his start Tuesday, possibly related to his groin injury. The 21-year-old is 15-10-6 this season in the AHL with a .913 save percentage. The netminder is in route to Pittsburgh and is expected to arrive in time to back up Jonathan Bernier.
