Cross (undisclosed) was waived by the Panthers on Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
Cross started the season on injured reserve. He's seemingly healthy now and will likely be assigned to AHL Syracuse if he clears waivers. The 31-year-old hasn't played an NHL game since the 2015-16 season. He posted 21 points and 56 PIM over 50 AHL games last year.
