Back in March, Ronda Rousey indicated she would have a shot against boxing champion Floyd Mayweather in a no-holds barred MMA-style fight.

On Tuesday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. said of Rousey: "I don't even know who he is." Either Mayweather is being intentionally dismissive, or he really has no idea who Rousey is, given that "he" is in fact female.

While in Washington D.C. promoting his upcoming rematch with Marcos Maidana, Mayweather was asked about Rousey's comments. He made the above quip -- or legitimate admission of ignorance -- then again added that he didn't know who Rousey was.

You never can tell with Mayweather, but it seems unlikely he truly doesn't know who Rousey is, given that her comments a few months back made waves. So much so, in fact, that UFC CEO Dana White said that Rousey would destroy Mayweather in a street fight.

"You take a street fight, Ronda wins that fight and hurts him badly," White said. "You do an MMA fight, same result. Boxing match, Floyd Mayweather chews her up."

Rousey and Mayweather are both undefeated in their respective sports.
