Angels: After one pitch broke Collin Cowgill's thumb and nose, he was placed on the DL.
Athletics: Drew Pomeranz was activated from the DL, but optioned to Triple-A.
Indians: They acquired pitcher Nick Maronde for a player to be named later or cash considerations (ohio.com).
Rays: Jake McGee was activated from the paternity list while Jeremy Hellickson was optioned to Double-A, but the move was just so Hellickson could stay on his turn (Rays.com).
