Three players were outrighted to Triple-A on Friday as teams prepare their 40-man rosters for the offseason:
- The Dodgers outrighted pitcher Blake Hawksworth to Triple-A Albuquerque, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reported. The 28-year-old appeared in 49 games for the Dodgers, recording a 4.08 ERA and 2.53 K/BB. He impressed in his first major league stint with St. Louis in 2009, posting a 2.03 ERA in 30 games, but he has just a 4.65 ERA (82 ERA+) in 143.1 innings since.
- The Brewers outrighted infielder Eric Farris and pitcher Cody Scarpetta to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced. Farris, 26, played 13 games for Milwaukee this season, recording one hit in eight at-bats after a .286/.329/.377 season for Nashville. Scarpetta, 24, missed the entire 2012 season due to Tommy John surgery. In 2011 he advanced to Double-A Huntsville and posted a 3.85 ERA but struggled with walks, issuing 4.7 per nine innings.
