The Rockies have "expressed mild interest" in pitchers Brandon Webb and Jeff Karstens, according to the Denver Post's Troy E. Renck.

Webb, who will throw for teams later this month as he attempts a comeback, hasn't pitched in the majors since 2009. Now 33 years old, Webb threw just one game that season before succumbing to injury. In the previous season, the right-hander won 22 games while finishing in the top two of the NL Cy Young award voting for the third consecutive season.

Webb has also drawn interest this offseason from the Minnesota Twins.

Karstens, 30, went 5-4 with a 3.97 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 66 strikeouts in 90 2/3 innings over 19 appearances (15 starts) for the Pirates in 2012. He has shown exceptional control over the past two seasons, walking just 48 batters over 253 innings.
