The Indians-Royals game in Kansas City Thursday evening was quite the odd one. Corey Kluber (underrated ace, by the way) had a perfect game through 6 1/3 innings. The Indians only had one hit of their own, at that time, off Danny Duffy. The game went into the bottom of the eighth tied, 0-0.
And then this happened:
That's a Mike Moustakas double with a two-base error by Tribe left fielder Ryan Raburn on what looks like an attempted throw, but who can be sure what that was?
The oddities didn't stop there. Greg Holland, Kansas City's All-Star closer who entered the game 26-of-27 in save chances, blew a save in the ninth.
Kluber would then hold the Royals down in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to extras. Kluber's final line? 9 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 10 K. Decent. Also, this:
Corey Kluber is 1st Indians pitcher to take a no-decision in an outing with 9+ IP, 10+ K, 0 BB since Sept. 17, 1963 (Pedro Ramos).

And the Royals won it in 14, 2-1. They racked up a whopping (note sarcasm!) five hits in 14 innings and won the game.
