Just as they did this time last year, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a 1-0 hole in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. We all know how things ended up playing out during that series, and J.R. Smith is confident his squad can turn things around again.

After practice on Saturday afternoon, Smith was feeling confident, noting that while the Warriors are a great team, the Cavaliers are still capable of beating them as long as they play the way they can. The shooting guard even went so far as to say the Cavs could beat the 1996 Bulls if they take care of their business.

Smith's full comments below:

"Watching basketball throughout the course of the season, you obviously know they're very good. But one thing about us, it's all about us. If we take care of what we're supposed to take care of, it doesn't matter if it's the '96 Bulls, it doesn't matter. We would win. We just gotta worry about us, understand that no matter what they do, if we do what we're supposed to do, they can't beat us."

It's completely unsurprising that Smith is confident in his team's abilities, and the Cavs can certainly play better. However, given the talent the Warriors have, I wouldn't say it guarantees a victory.
