Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva has been fined $25,000 by the league for his flagrant foul on Kings guard Isaiah Thomas in Detroit's 103-97 win over Sacramento on Tuesday night.

The play was reviewed and was determined to be a Flagrant 2 foul, which is an automatic ejection.

Thomas clearly took exception to the foul, jumping up and going at Villanueva before being separated. Thomas told reporters the play was bad and went as far as to call Villanueva a "dirty player."

“No, it was just the fact that it was a dirty play and he’s a dirty player,” Thomas said. “It is what it is. He got kicked out of the game, so it wasn’t nothing big. A lot of guys do stuff like that knowing you can’t really fight in this league, so it’s all right.”

Lakers center Dwight Howard was ejected for a similar play last week and was hit with a $35,000 fine.
