Having played behind his brother Stephen Curry for six preseason games in 2013, Seth Curry decided this summer that he didn't want to go through that experience again. Wanting to not play in his brother's shadow, Seth reportedly turned down an offer from the Golden State Warriors to sign with the Sacramento Kings.

From an excellent profile of Seth by Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated:

The Kings made the strongest offer on July 21 -- the day after Summer League ended -- but not the only one. The Pelicans, Hornets and Warriors jumped in as well. “I didn’t want to go to Golden State,” Seth says. “I didn’t want to go back in Steph’s shadow.”

Seth is not trying to put down his brother, he just wants to create his own separate Curry legacy. While the Warriors did give him an opportunity to play for a championship, the Kings offered Seth a two-year guaranteed contract and he should get plenty of playing time in Sacramento.

Plus with Seth choosing not to play with his brother, their sibling rivalry becomes even more heated. Especially since Steph is already talking trash and looking forward to beating his brother in front of the entire Curry clan.
