Golden State Warriors' point guard Stephen Curry is special for a couple of reasons. The main reason is his shooting ability. With his 7-for-13 performance from 3-point range in the Warriors' win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, Curry moved to 268 made 3-pointers this season. That's just one behind Ray Allen's single-season record of 269 back in 2005-06.
With one game left on the schedule and the fact that Curry has made two or more 3-pointers in 65 of his 77 games this season, it seems like a lock that he'll set the single-season record fairly easily Wednesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The second reason Steph is so special is the handle he showed off in the video above. Every once in awhile, Curry goes after a defender in a brutal way that makes the defender look helpless and reminds everybody not to get too close to Curry's dribble. He goes between his legs, does a half spin before rewinding it back, and then crosses over on Gary Neal to free himself up for the jumper.
Neal learned that Curry's dribble isn't as high as he thought, so maybe next time he'll keep his hands lower in his defensive stance.
