10/23/16WRJaron BrownKNEEQUESTIONABLEBrown (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 reports.

Dealing with a short week after playing on Monday night, Brown missed practice Wednesday and Thursday but then managed a limited showing Friday. His availability takes on added importance with John Brown (leg) listed as doubtful and potentially facing a multi-game absence. If neither Brown is able to play, J.J. Nelson would likely have a regular spot in three-wide sets alongside Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd.

10/23/16WRJohn BrownHAMSTRINGDOUBTFULBrown (leg) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 reports.

Recent blood tests revealed that Brown is suffering from leg pains caused by sickle-cell trait, rather than the hamstring injury that was previously reported. This may explain why he's been hampered by lower-body issues on-and-off for the past couple years, in addition to his struggles with conditioning earlier this season. He didn't practice at all this week, which essentially ensures he'll miss Sunday's game. Michael Floyd and J.J. Nelson figure to take on added snaps and targets -- even more so if Jaron Brown (questionable-knee) is also unavailable. Given the nature of (John) Brown's health concern, he may be facing a highly variable timetable to return.

10/23/16LBGabe MartinKNEEDOUBTFULMartin (knee) has been listed as doubtful on the Cardinals' depth chart, Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports reports.

It will be Martin's first missed game of the season if he indeed cannot suit up Sunday. Joplo Bartu would figure to see an increased workload providing depth at inside linebacker if Martin is sidelined as expected.

10/23/16QBCarson PalmerHAMSTRINGQUESTIONABLEPalmer (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 reports.

Dealing with a shortened week after playing on Monday night, Palmer sat out Wednesday's practice but returned to limited sessions both Thursday and Friday. Head coach Bruce Arians said his quarterback was able to make all the necessary throws at Friday's practice, thoughthe team did run more plays from pistol formations in an effort to limit Palmer's movement. Given his long-standing reputation as a strong-armed statue in the pocket, Palmer shouldn't be too bothered by a slight loss in mobility, so long as he's able to complete his drop backs and step into his throws. He seems to be trending in the right direction, but Sunday's 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff still isn't ideal for worried fantasy owners. Palmer may also be missing a key weapon or two, as John Brown (leg) is doubtful and Jaron Brown (knee) is questionable.

10/23/16DTEd StinsonTOEOUTThe Cardinals have listed Stinson (toe) as out for Sunday's tilt with the Seahawks, Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports reports.

Stinson was able to practice in a limited role on Thursday, but was sidelined the rest of the week at practice. This will mark his third consecutive game missed due to a toe injury.

10/17/16QBTony RomoBackOUTRomo (back) likely won't be cleared for practice immediately after the Cowboys' Week 7 bye, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

On Wednesday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relayed that the Cowboys will stick with Dak Prescott as their starting quarterback in Week 8 against the Eagles, thereby relegating Romo to backup duties, at best. If Romo doesn't practice to start the week, as expected, he'll likely find himself on the Cowboys' inactive list yet again. During the bye week, Romo will remain at team headquarters and stay involved in the rehab process with an eye toward ramping up his workload. However, in order to take part in "intense" football activities, his core and back must be strengthened, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

09/20/16DLRandy GregorySuspensionSUSPENDGregory (suspension) was suspended for an additional 10 games and won't be eligible to return until Monday, December 19.

Gregory is suspended for a grand total of 14 games due to multiple violations of the league's substance abuse policy. It comes as disappointing news for the Cowboys, as substance abuse issues have clouded Gregory's once promising NFL career. Once he is eligible to return, he could compete for a starting defensive end position with the likes of Jack Crawford.

09/08/16LBJames MorrisUndisclosedOUTMorris (undisclosed) was placed on the Cowboys' injured reserve list on Tuesday.

The specifics of his injury are still vague. Whatever it may be, though, does not appear to overly serious and Morris should be set to return in 2017.

08/01/16LBJaylon SmithKneeOUTSmith has begun running and doing linebacker drills, but the nerve in his knee has yet to regenerate, The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports.

The team still hasn't ruled Smith out for this season, but his ability to suit up in 2016 (or indeed, play in the NFL at all) will ultimately depend on whether or not the nerve re-fires following the gruesome knee injury that ended his career at Notre Dame. The second round pick is eligible to return to practice on Oct. 17 and the Cowboys would have until Nov. 28 to determine whether they want to add him to the 53-man roster or move him to injured reserve.

07/29/16LBRolando McClainSuspensionSUSPENDMcClain (suspended) will be placed on the Cowboys' reserve/did not report list, ESPN.com reports.

McClain has already been suspended for the first 10 games of the upcoming season, but was still expected to report for training camp Wednesday. Since McClain, who skipped most of Dallas' offseason program, remains away from the team, his status appears increasingly shaky. Furthermore, after the Cowboys signed veteran Justin Durant recently, McClain's open roster spot could be filled by another linebacker, making McClain more expendable.

07/29/16RBDarren McFaddenElbowOUTMcFadden says he's ready to play after recovering from offseason elbow surgery, The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports. "Elbow is feeling great," McFadden said. "Just sitting back and waiting for my time to get back on the field. It's pretty much up to the coaches. I'm ready to go, so it's just based off their decision."

He's eligible to come off the NFI list this week, but with the Cowboys on bye in Week 7 they will be in no rush to try and find room for McFadden on the 53-man roster. Ezekiel Elliott's tremendous start means that the veteran would be a depth player at best anyway in Dallas, but with backfield injuries starting to pile up around the league McFadden's best chance to see significant action this season might have to come via a trade.
