08/22/16LBElvis DumervilFootPROBABLEDumervil returned to practice, the team announced on Monday.

There was never much concern following Dumervil's procedure on his foot/ankle, as the team fully expected the linebackers to return during training camp. Barring a setback, there should be little worry about Dumervil being out the lineup Week 1.

08/22/16DBMatt ElamKneeDOUBTFULElam fell on his knee during Saturday's preseason win over the Colts, and he'll need surgery to clean out the issue as a result.

Elam's injury isn't season-ending according to coach John Harbaugh, but it should keep the Ravens' safety out for an extended period of time. His absence won't have too much of an impact in terms of the team's secondary, with Eric Weddle and Lardarius Webb positioned as the starting safeties. An update regarding Elam's return timetable should become available when more information is released following his surgery.

08/22/16WRBreshad PerrimanKneeQUESTIONABLEPerriman (knee) said Tuesday that he expects to be ready for Week 1 against the Bills, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.

One day after he was activated from the PUP list, Perriman practiced for the first time since suffering a partially-torn ACL in mid-June. According to ESPN's Jamison Hensley, the 2015 first-round draft pick was limited to individual work at Tuesday's session, running at less than

08/22/16TEDennis PittaFingerQUESTIONABLEPitta is revealed to have suffered a broken finger, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.

Pitta was reported to have injured his finger during a practice fight to begin this month, and now it's been revealed by an MRI that he broke the finger in the process. To prevent further damage, Pitta is being held out of play right now, and he's also unable to catch passes. Overall, it's obviously a less than ideal injury for the tight end, who hasn't played in two years due to hip problems.

08/17/16WRSteve SmithAchillesQUESTIONABLESmith (Achilles) rejoined his teammates at practice Thursday, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Though Thursday's session was described as "essentially a walk-through" in advance of Saturday's game against the Colts, Smith's presence after coming off the PUP list, is nonetheless a welcome one for the Ravens. At age 37, and coming back from a serious injury, Smith comes with some question marks as the 2016 campaign approaches. That said, given his high level of toughness and determination, it's unwise to count out the veteran wideout.

08/17/16LBTerrell SuggsAchilles PROBABLESuggs (Achilles) was activated off the PUP list Monday and is practicing, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

The injury stems back from Week 1 of last season, and while the team did not initially expect Suggs to be ready for Week 1 of this season, this news of linebacker returning to the practice field is surely encouraging. Suggs will likely be limited throughout the preseason as the team looks to keep him healthy for the start of the regular season.

08/04/16DLBronson KaufusiAnkleDOUBTFULKaufusi will miss the entire 2016 season with a broken ankle, The Baltimore Sun reports.

Baltimore's third round pick out of BYU, Kaufusi had a legitimate chance to earn a starting role during his first season in the league. In his absence, veteran Kapron Lewis-Moore and undrafted rookie Victor Ochi may perhaps have an easier time cracking the final 53-man roster. Furthermore, Brent Urban and Lawrence Guy now figure to be locked into starting roles at both defensive end positions.

08/01/16WRChris MooreFootQUESTIONABLEMoore (leg) returned to practice Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun reports.

A fourth-round rookie, Moore got off to a strong start through the first two days of training camp, only to be sidelined for two weeks with a lower-leg injury. He still has time to push for the third or fourth spot on Baltimore's depth chart, as the team may be without both Breshad Perriman (knee) and Steve Smith (Achilles) at the start of the regular season. The competition appears to be pretty open behind starters Kamar Aiken and Mike Wallace, with Moore joined by Michael Campanaro, Jeremy Butler, Keenan Reynolds and a few others.

07/29/16TECrockett GillmoreHamstringQUESTIONABLEGilmore returned to practice on Monday.

Gillmore suffered a hamstring injury in late July, and while he is back in action Monday, how much work he'll do on the practice field is still a mystery. With a crowded Ravens tight end corps however, Gillmore will need all the work he can get as he competes for playing time behind the likes of Benjamin Watson and Dennis Pitta with the regular season approaching.

07/05/16WRDarren WallerSuspensionSUSPENDWaller (suspension) was forced to exit Saturday's win over the Colts to be tested for a concussion.

Waller was able to pass the concussion tests and he won't be forced to miss any practice time, though he was unable to return on Saturday. He finished the game without a single target.

04/27/16TENick BoyleSuspensionSUSPENDBoyle has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2016 campaign due to a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Boyle was utilized sparsely as a rookie in 2015, hauling in 18 balls for 153 yards over the course of 11 games. However, he received his first suspension related to PEDs on Dec. 7 and subsequently missed the final four contests of the season. With Boyle out of the picture for most of next season, the Ravens rely upon Crockett Gillmore (back) and Maxx Williams to man tight end.

08/15/16LBStephone AnthonyLegQUESTIONABLEAnthony (leg) returned to practice on Monday, NOLA.com reports.

Anthony was carted off the field with an unspecified leg injury during the Saints' preseason opener against New England. However, New Orleans evidently dodged a bullet as he logged a full practice Monday and appeared to be moving without limitations throughout team drills. Now proven healthy, he'll resume his entrance into the regular season as Rotowire's 26th-ranked IDP prospect.

08/15/16DLSheldon RankinsLegOUTRankins, who was carted off during Monday's practice, will have surgery to repair a fractured fibula and is expected to miss six weeks, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Rankins' injury is a tough blow to the Saints' defense, which aded him with the 12th overall pick in this year's draft to beef up its front line. Furthermore, the Louisville product was impressive to this point in camp, even intercepting Tom Brady during joint practices with the Patriots last week. With Rankins now sidelined going into the regular season, Nick Fairley, John Jenkins and fellow rookie David Onyemata should see more reps at defensive tackle.

07/31/16WRVincent BrownUndisclosedNFIThe Saints released Brown (calf) with an injury settlement Thursday, removing him from injured reserve, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Brown joined the Saints in May, adding a veteran presence to a receiving corps lacking in experience. However, he failed his pre-training camp physical due to a strained calf, which will bring his brief tenure in New Orleans to a close. The severity of the injury will likely determine when he receives a chance with another organization.
