The 49ers promoted cornerback Darryl Morris from the practice squad to the active roster, a sign Nnamdi Asomugha's knee injury might keep him out Thursday in St. Louis, reports the San Jose Mercury News. Morris is an undrafted rookie out of Texas State.
To fill Morris' spot on the practice squad, the 49ers signed linebacker D'Aundre Reed.
