Here are some Arizona Cardinals links from media outlets that regularly cover the team:

  • The practice squad is a sort of witness-protection program that shielded offensive tackle D.J. Young from the public eye last season. All that changed last Friday when starting left tackle Levi Brown suffered a torn triceps tendon, an injury that could keep him out for the season. Young will be in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Titans, but several other Cardinals are under consideration for the job, including D'Anthony Batiste, rookie Nate Potter and veteran Jeremy Bridges, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reported.
  • Coach Ken Whisenhunt doesn’t see any reason to make a decision on the starting quarterback before the club’s final preseason game. Darren urban of azcardinals.com had that note and some injury updates.
  • Offensive line coach Russ Grimm won’t stick his head in a pillow and cry about losing Brown to a torn triceps tendon, but he acknowledged to Craig Grialou of arizonasports.com that it won’t be easy replacing his underappreciated starter.
