The Arizona Cardinals have signed safety Adrian Wilson to a four-year extension on Monday, locking up the five-time Pro Bowl safety through 2015.

Wilson, probably the second-most famous native of High Point, NC (ahem), was drafted by Arizona in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft (64th overall) and has played his entire career with the Cards.

The former N.C. State star is a three-time All-Pro selection and one of only 12 people in NFL history to record 20 sacks and 20 interceptions in a career. (He's also one of seven players in NFL history with 20 sacks, 20 interceptions and 15 forced fumbles in a career; yes, I'm aware sacks haven't been recorded forever.)

Wilson, 32, had two years and $17 million remaining on his contract. The terms of his new deal haven't been disclosed, but it stands to reason that this deal will make him a Cardinal for life, get him some more money, and possibly even free up some salary cap space.

Lest you think that Wilson's play is trailing off with age, he's played the last two seasons with pretty serious injuries the past two seasons: he had an abductor injury during 2010 (but no one knew!) and then played 2011 with a partially torn biceps muscle.
