When Donald Trump campaigns, he loves to mention the fact that he's best friends with Tom Brady.
Back in March, Trump said that Brady's friendship was an 'enormous help' to Trump when he was trying to win the Massachusetts primary, which he eventually did.
Although name-dropping Brady works in some states, it definitely doesn't work in every state, and Trump found that out on Wednesday night.
During a rally in Maryland, Trump called Brady "great," and as you can imagine, that didn't go over well with the thousands of Ravens fans in the state.
After mentioning Brady's name, the boo-birds came out in full force for Trump.
"We love Tom Brady, right?" asks Trump. Maryland crowd, full of Ravens fans, boos loudly.

Trump's love for Tom Brady sometimes misplaced. When he told MD rally how much he likes Pats QB, MD crowd (likely all Ravens fans) booed.

Trump said, "we love Tom Brady, right?" at Maryland rally. Surprisingly, it didn't go over well.

The Maryland primary is scheduled for April 26, so Trump has six days to win everyone back.
Anyway, Pennsylvania's primary is also being held that day, and if Trump campaigns in Pittsburgh, he'll probably want to avoid using Brady's name while he's there. However, he might want to use the quarterback's name while campaigning in Brady's home state of California.
That primary is scheduled for June 7.
