Atlanta's 30-28 win over the Seahawks on Sunday moved the Falcons one step closer to the Super Bowl and it also apparently moved TE Tony Gonzalez two percent closer to retirement.

According to teammate and backup TE Michael Palmer, Gonzalez is now 97 percent sure he's going to retire when Atlanta's season ends, that's up from last week, when Gonzalez was only 95 percent certain he was going to retire.

"He told me today [Thursday] he's moving up to 97 percent sure after that win last week," Palmer told USA TODAY. "From what I can get from him, if we win the Super Bowl, I think he'll ride off into the sunset."

RB Michael Turner doesn't think riding off into the sunset is what Gonzalez should do if the Falcons win the Super Bowl, "I told him if we win it, he has to defend it," Turner said. Apparently, Gonzalez wasn't too thrilled with Turner's title defense idea, "He was like, 'no, no, no, no,'" Turner said.

The Falcons' playoff win over Seattle was the first postseason victory in Gonzalez's 16-year career; he had been 0-5 prior to Atlanta's win. Gonzalez caught six passes for 51 yards in the game, including a 19-yarder with under 20 seconds left that set up K Matt Bryant's 49-yard, game-winning field goal.
