Former Cowboys practice squad player Michael Sam has been working out in an NFL offseason program at the Michael Johnson Performance center since January, according to the Dallas Morning News

Reporters at the center to report on college players preparing for the NFL Draft spotted Sam working out with other NFL veterans.

Browns linebacker Craig Robertson, Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah and former Cowboys defensive end Martez Wilson were lifting weights with Sam, who left without speaking to the media.

Sam was drafted by the Rams last year and released at the end of training camp. He spent the first half of the season on the Cowboys practice squad. He's best known for becoming the openly gay athlete drafted by the NFL.
