Gerald Rivers needs big performance Thursday

Rams defensive end Gerald Rivers, an undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss, could make the team with a strong performance Thursday against the Ravens, reports ESPN.com. Rivers "held his own" when he worked with the first-team defense against Green Bay, and coach Jeff Fisher and his staff place a premium on pass rushers like Rivers, the report said.
