Cam Newton scored a touchdown for the Panthers on Sunday and planned to hand the ball to a young fan. But before he could do it, former Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers -- now playing for the Packers -- ganked the ball and threw it away.
Cam Newton wanted to keep his touchdown ball. Julius Peppers did NOT like that. #GBvsCAR https://t.co/HsuyJrBA8l

So obviously Peppers is a big meanie who HATES CHILDREN, right?
That might be a stretch. Cam's custom is to give the ball away in the end zone after a touchdown, generally to a young Panthers fan.
Peppers doesn't know that, even if he played in Carolina for the early portion of his career. Throwing the ball away was a jerk move but not something designed to keep the ball out of a kid's hands.
