Marshawn Lynch started his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills back in 2007. After spending a year away from the game, he'll continue it with the Oakland Raiders in 2017. In between, he blossomed into an outright superstar with the Seattle Seahawks

Lynch spent parts of six seasons in the Pacific Northwest, running for 6,347 yards and 57 touchdowns and helping turn the Seahawks into one of the league's best teams. During his time there, only two players (Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy) ran for more yards, and nobody ran for more touchdowns.

Lynch was more than just a great player in Seattle, though. He was the beating heart of the team -- the one that personified its attitude. Because of his playing style and carefree off-field existence, he forged a strong connection with the Seattle fanbase.

This Sunday, Lynch made sure to thank both the organization and the fans in the city he called his NFL home since 2010.

That's a photo of Lynch and Seahawks owner Paul Allen up top, and Lynch standing atop a float chucking Skittles at an adoring Seattle crowd (they refer to their fans as the "12th Man" or "The 12s") after the Seahawks won the Super Bowl in 2014. And of course, he signed it with his "Beast Mode" apparel logo, too.
