Marvin Lewis' 13th season in Cincinnati could be his last.

Of course, for that to happen, Lewis would have to something he's never done before as a head coach: Win a playoff game.

During an event in Cincinnati on Tuesday that featured an appearance by both Lewis and Bengals owner Mike Brown, Lewis said that he'd probably retire if the Bengals were to win the Super Bowl.

"I want to hand Mike the trophy, then just walk away," Lewis said, via the Cincinnati Enquirer

Lewis wasn't predicting that the Bengals would win it all this year -- or even next year -- he was just saying that if it does happen, he'll be happy to ride off into the sunset afterward.

Don't rule 2015 out though, Lewis thinks this year's team has a chance to be the third Bengals team in franchise history to get to the Super Bowl.

"We're good enough, but we have to play good enough," Lewis said.

It's a good thing the Bengals are good enough this year because 2015 might be Lewis' last realistic shot at a Lombardi Trophy.

The Bengals are going to have to make some tough decisions after the upcoming season, with guys like Leon Hall, A.J. Green, Marvin Jones, Andrew Whitworth and Mohamed Sanu all set to become free agents -- and that's only about half the list.

To ride off into the sunset, Lewis is somehow going to have to end his six game postseason losing streak and he's going to have to do it with a quarterback who got booed at a celebrity softball game in Cincinnati because he hasn't been able to do what Lewis needs him to do, which is win a playoff game.

If Andy Dalton strikes out again, he might end up unwillingly riding off into the sunset because the Bengals might decide they don't want him anymore. The team would only be out just over $7 million if they were to cut Dalton after the 2015 season.
