Report: NFL sends out memo in wake of Jerry Jones, Jim Harbaugh
With owners and coaches criticizing other players, the NFL reportedly has had enough.
With Cowboys owner Jerry Jones criticizing the Giants because he believed they were faking injuries in Week 1 and with Jim Harbaugh’s spat with Clay Matthews (“Come with some knuckles”), the league reportedly has had enough.
That’s why the NFL sent out a league-wide memo telling teams not to talk about opposing teams in that way, according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.
Otherwise, Glazer said, the team could get a “conduct detrimental to the league” penalty from the league. And the penalties probably wouldn’t be pretty.
