The Steelers will allow outside linebacker Jason Worilds to hit free agency, according to a report from ESPN.com.
The Steelers have decided against using the transition tag on Worilds, electing to let the open market decide how much his value is worth. Worilds totaled 59 tackles and 7.5 sacks during the 2014 season.
The deadline for all teams to use the franchise or transition tag is Monday.
Worilds was taken by Pittsburgh in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft out of Virginia Tech. He's spent all five of his NFL seasons with the Steelers.
