No surprises reported on Monday as the Texans cut 11 players to bring the roster to 75.

In other roster news, kicker Randy Bullock (groin) was officially put on IR, and linebacker Darryl Sharpton (knee/quad) was placed on the PUP list. Nose tackle Ra’Shon Harris (triceps) and linebacker Greg Williams (hamstring) were placed on the waived/injured list.

Notable cuts: T Nick Mondek (rookie, sixth round, Purdue) -- The reason Mondek is a notable cut is that he is the only player the Texans drafted in April to be cut. With Bullock on IR, the other six draft picks look to be in good shape to make the team. WR Bryant Johnson (11th year, Penn State) -- It isn’t surprising that Johnson was cut. He hasn’t made a catch all preseason, but Johnson was signed right before training camp to bring a veteran presence to an inexperienced unit. Other than Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter, the Texans now don’t have a receiver on the roster who has an NFL reception.

Complete cut list

C Thomas Austin (third year, Clemson); ILB Omar Gaither (eighth year, Tennessee); P Brett Hartmann (third year, Central Michigan); WR Mario Louis (rookie, undrafted, Grambling State); RB Davin Meggett (rookie, undrafted, Maryland); DE Jimmy Saddler-McQueen (second year, Texas A&M-Kingsville); FB Derrell Smith (second year, Syracuse); G Kasey Studdard (seventh year, Texas); CB Torri Williams (second year, Purdue).
