Tennessee Titans tight end Brandon Barden was arrested for DUI on Feb. 23, after crashing into a ditch and flipping his truck in his hometown of Lincolnton, Ga,, a small town about 35 miles northwest of Augusta.

According to the police report, Barden had two passengers in his truck when he lost control of the vehicle and ran into a ditch in the early morning hours of Feb. 23. After hitting the ditch, Barden's truck did one and a half flips before coming to rest on its side.

The officer at the scene smelled "a strong odor of alcohol," however, Barden refused all field sobriety testing. Barden was then taken to the Sheriff's office where he again refused a chance to take a sobriety test. Barden was eventually charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

The 23-year-old Barden was signed by by the Titans in May as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt.

Barden spent most of the 2012 season on the Titans' practice squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster in December. Barden was active for Tennessee's final three regular season games last season, but didn't tally any offensive stats.

The Titans have stated that the team is aware of the incident and "still gathering facts."
