Titans coach Mike Munchak has yet to name a starting quarterback for Saturday's preseason opener vs. the Seahawks.

The game will be Matt Hasselbeck's first in Seattle since leaving the Seahawks after the 2010 season. It will also be a homecoming of sorts for Jake Locker. The second-year quarterback ended his career at the University of Washington ranked second in school history in career passing yards and touchdown passes.

Munchak said he would discuss the quarterback situation with his staff Wednesday night and make a decision on the starter for the game after Thursday's practice.

“I just think it’s a matter of them going out and playing the best they can when they’re out there and the groups that they’re with,” Munchak said.

The Titans have yet to determine if both Hasselbeck and Locker will receive starts during the preseason, Munchak added.

Ball returns to team facility

DE Dave Ball returned to the Titans practice facility Wednesday after leaving late last week for an excused personal reason.

Ball is still experiencing concussion-like symptoms he initially suffered last week, Munchak said after Wednesday's practice. The eighth-year veteran was examined by a doctor every day during his absence, Munchak added.

C Kevin Matthews returned to practice Wednesday after also experiencing concussion-like symptoms last week. Matthews received reps at right guard with the first-team offensive line after right guard Leroy Harris left practice with soreness in his legs. OL Fernando Velasco appeared at center with the first team.

“I’m concerned any time someone gets any type of concussion-like symptoms or feels kind of uneasy,” Munchak said. “I think it is scary for anyone to have something bother them. I am concerned for (Dave) like I was for Kevin or anyone else that has something wrong with them.”

Titans add S Wilson

With S Markelle Martin still on PUP, the Titans agreed to terms with safety Tracy Wilson on Wednesday. Wilson had four tackles for the Jets in his rookie season in 2011.

The second-year veteran had 171 tackles, four fumble receoveries and one interception during his collegiate career at Northern Illinois. The Titans plan on using Wilson on special teams. Last season, he made seven stops on special teams.

“We don’t know a whole lot about him,” Munchak said. “Our scouts liked him, people who have watched him as a young player liked him.”

Munchak didn't provide a timetable on when Martin could return from a knee injury.
