Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt, who who has struggled to stay out of trouble since coming into the league in 2009, met with commissioner Roger Goodell Monday to discuss his various off-field entanglements. And while Britt didn't go into specifics, the former first-round pick admitted that he's worried about a possible suspension (frankly, given Goodell's record of coming down hard on repeat offenders, he should be).

“It was a personal meeting and I would rather just wait and see what happens,” Britt said on Wednesday according to the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt. “I am a man about what I did and I will take it on the chin on whatever he decides and move forward.
“What is my gut telling me? I really don’t know. He didn’t really give me any body language on what is going to happen. He just wasn’t really pleased about seeing me in there. No person would like to see a player in their office twice in one year.”
Britt, who was arrested for DUI last month, has had eight (!) incidents while with the Titans. In June 2011, he was arrested a day after appearing in court for another offense. A few weeks later, he turned himself into authorities for outstanding warrants.
But the former Rutgers star, who missed most of the 2011 season with a knee injury, avoided Goodell's wrath last summer. Because of the lockout, there was no collective bargaining agreement governing player conduct. Now, with Britt sill unable to steer clear of the police blotter, he's again ended up in Goodell's office.
“Anybody should be worried about going to see the commissioner twice in one year, to tell you the truth,” he said. “I just have to take it on the chin and move forward.”
Maybe this time the message takes. Then again, maybe not. And if the Titans wideout won't listen to his coaches or the commissioner, maybe another player can get through to him. We nominate Bears' running back Matt Forte, who spoke to CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman about the prevalence of arrests around the league.
"It's not that hard to stay out of trouble," he said. "Be respectful of yourself, your team, and other people. Stay off the streets. Just have two drinks instead of 10. Call a cab. It's pretty simple."
