Trading for Giants DE Osi Umenyiora may be one way to solve the Saints' problems at defensive end, especially with DE Will Smith set to serve a four-game suspension. Umenyiora has been caught up in an ugly contract battle with Giants GM Jerry Reese and there's been speculation that Umenyiora could be available. Umenyiora also played for current Saints defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo while Spags was in New York.
