It might be time for Paxton Lynch to get his rookie right arm warmed up again.

On Wednesday, Broncos starting quarterback Trevor Siemian missed practice. As 9News' Mike Klis first reported, Siemian is dealing with a sprained foot. He suffered the injury in overtime of the Broncos' loss to the Chiefs on Sunday night.

After practice, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Siemian's injury and noted that he's wearing a boot on his foot, which has swelled up. Kubiak said that Siemian is considered day to day.

Kubiak also gave some good news about Siemian's availability moving forward:

If Siemian is unable to go against the Jaguars this week, expect to see Lynch, the first-round pick, in his place. In Lynch's only career start, he had an uneven game, going 23-for-35 for 223 yards, one touchdown and an interception. That start was made in place of Siemian, who was dealing with a shoulder injury at the time.

Siemian's latest injury comes at a troubling time for the Broncos considering they're two games back of the Raiders for the top spot in the AFC West and fell outside the AFC playoff picture after losing to the Chiefs on Sunday. It's also concerning because Siemian is coming off one of his best games.

Against the Chiefs, Siemian averaged 10.82 yards per pass, threw three touchdowns without an interception, and posted a 125.6 passer rating. If not for the Chiefs' eight-point drive at the end of regulation, Siemian's performance would've been a winning one.

Finally, he was actually throwing downfield with success.

It's still early in the week, though, so there's no reason to panic yet.
