Stephenson (ankle) will become an unrestricted free agent following the expiration of his second 10-day contract with the Timberwolves on Saturday, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.

Stephenson rejoined the Timberwolves on a second 10-day contract earlier this month, but he's been slowed by an ankle injury and has been unable to make much of an impact. He's appeared in only two games since re-signing, totaling just 18 minutes. Stephenson will now become a free agent and will look to latch on with another team down the stretch, though he'll need to prove he's healthy before that happens.
