AMHERST, Mass. (AP) Nick Banyard made a 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left, sending UCF to a 65-62 win over UMass on Saturday.

Banyard got the offensive rebound off teammate A.J. Davis' missed go-ahead layup attempt with four seconds left, dribbled to the top of the key and made an off-balanced shot for the game winner.

Donte Clark's 3-pointer tied the game at 62 for UMass with 14 seconds left.

UCF (6-1) led 29-28 at the break and extended the advantage to as many as seven points in the second half, but the Knights couldn't pull away. Two free throws from Tanksley Efianayi put UCF up 56-50 with 4:18 remaining, but UMass's Tyrn Flowers hit a 3-pointer 12 seconds later to pull the Minutemen to 56-53.

Efianayi shot 7 of 11 from the field and 8 of 11 from the line en route to a career-high 24 points. Banyard finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Flowers led UMass (5-2) with 20 points, and Luwane Pipkins added 16.
