The NCAA Tournament selection committee revealed, for the very first time on Saturday, an in-season look at where some of the top teams across the country stand if a bracket were made today.

Despite what our experts projected this week, it was Villanova -- not Gonzaga -- who took the No. 1 overall spot in the seeding by the committee. Kansas, Baylor, and Gonzaga rounded out the top four remaining No. 1 seeds.

Here's a look at the full seedings as we sit on Feb. 11.

1. Villanova Wildcats

The reigning national champion, Villanova was "very much a consensus" No. 1 overall seed according to committee chair Mark Hollis. With only two losses on the resume, the Wildcats are favored to win every game on their remaining regular season schedule. Being the overall No. 1, they will also get first dibs on picking location.

2. Kansas Jayhawks

The Jayhawks have only taken two losses in Big 12 play, and sit at 21-3 ahead of Saturday's matchup with Texas Tech. Wins over Kentucky, Duke and Baylor are going to likely hold Bill Self's team as a 1-seed all the way into March.

3. Baylor Bears

If the bracket was done two weeks ago, the Bears would have almost certainly been in the discussion for a No. 1 overall seed. But back-to-back losses to Kansas and Kansas State dropped them a bit. Wins over Louisville and Oregon in the non-conference are looking pretty impressive right now -- and the committee rewarded them for it. The third-overall No. 1 seed seems fair.

4. Gonzaga Bulldogs

With an unblemished record, almost no one was picking Gonzaga anywhere but No. 1. But it is a bit of a surprise that it landed as the fourth overall No. 1 seed. The committee doesn't seem sold on the Zags to put them higher just yet, but Hollis said they were no doubt a No. 1. A win over Saint Mary's on Saturday would be a boost.

5. North Carolina Tar Heels

Good on the committee for not taking recent losses into more consideration. The Tar Heels boast wins over Wisconsin, Florida State and Notre Dame. Even with a loss to Duke, it still might have an outside shot at getting a No. 1 seed for the Big Dance.

6. Florida State Seminoles

Florida State has been an ACC nightmare all season, and the committee likes its 8-1 record against top-50 teams to date.

7. Louisville Cardinals

The Cardinals are an interesting case who have been solid without its point guard Quentin Snider. With Snider expected to return this weekend, Louisville gets a major boost and could improve on its No. 7 overall seed with a month left. Cardinals are trending up.

8. Oregon Ducks

Despite losing to UCLA on Thursday, the Ducks still hold a higher seed than the Bruins. A head-to-head 27-point win over Arizona is a major factor for the Ducks being held in such high regard.

9. Arizona Wildcats

Winning 15 of their last 16, the Wildcats got a fair shake here. And a case could be made it deserves to be higher. With Allonzo Trier back, and a favorable schedule remaining, Sean Miller's team has a chance to run the Pac-12 table and win the league. That could move them up to a potential No. 2 seed in March.

Virgina Cavaliers

The Cavaliers recent snags against Villanova and Syracuse have held back Tony Bennett's team from a potential No. 2 seed. But with Duke and North Carolina still left on the schedule, there's a chance this team could move up.

11. Florida Gators

Gators fans surely won't like getting the same seed as conference foe Kentucky after what it did to the Wildcats a week ago. But Florida is 3-4 against top 50 teams this season. South Carolina and Kentucky at the end of February loom large for its overall resume.

12. Kentucky Wildcats

Despite losing three of its last five, Kentucky gets the nod in part because of a solid win over North Carolina out of conference. The No. 3 seed may be a bit generous, but John Calipari seems pleased with it.

13. Butler Bulldogs

Butler's resume is a confusing one. Wins over Villanova and Cincinnati and Arizona are likely what got it on the 4-line. But losses to Indiana State, St. John's and Georgetown are what is holding it back from an even higher seeding.

14. West Virginia Mountaineers

The Mountaineers are 6-3 against top 50 teams, but its record against other teams is what is concerning. West Virginia has five losses -- two against teams rated outside of the top 75.

15. UCLA Bruins

I'll be honest, this is a shocker to me. The Bruins beat Kentucky on the road, they beat Oregon (a No. 2 seed) on Thursday, and still find themselves just barely inside the top 16. An earlier loss to Arizona and Oregon are holding them back, but a 4-seed seems like a bit of a stretch here.

16. Duke Blue Devils

Suffering three losses while Coach K was sidelined may be taken into consideration with an asterisk. Right now Duke, coming off a win over UNC, looks like it could be primed to round into form just in time. The Blue Devils are riding a four-game winning streak.
