Guerra was designated for assignment by the Angels on Monday.
Guerra had his contract selected just over a week ago, and despite two flawless appearances, a four-run outing May 25 against the Rangers soured his overall numbers. The big right-hander can now choose to remain in the organization at the Triple-A level, or elect free agency (if he clears waivers).
