Minter (forearm) has been officially diagnosed with radial tunnel syndrome, and while he's hoping to play catch Thursday there's no timetable for his return to the mound, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. "It feels fine pitching," Minter said. "It's just kind of after the fact, it gets irritated. So, we're just taking it slow ... I'm already starting to feel better. It should be cleared up right away."

The 23-year-old lefty is hoping to be the next fireballing prospect to make his mark at the back of the Braves' bullpen after posting an eye-popping 31:6 K:BB in 18.2 innings for Double-A Mississippi last season, but Minter didn't pitch at all in 2015 due to Tommy John surgery, so the team will give him all the time he needs to get his arm in shape. Expect him to begin the season in the high minors, but if he's healthy and blowing away hitters once again, he could be looking at a quick promotion.
