Gant allowed one earned run on four hits and four walks in 4.2 innings Saturday against the Braves while striking out six. He did not factor into the decision.
The rookie Gant has been a respectable starter for the Braves over the past several weeks, though working deep into games has been highly elusive. In only one of his past five starts has he pitched at least five full innings. He is 1-3 with a 4.40 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP on the season.
