Miller (foot) threw a bullpen session Saturday without issues and could be activated during the coming week, the Associated Press reports.
The left-hander went on the injured list with a left foot blister Aug. 28, and he appears to have a shot of being activated when first eligible Monday. Miller's standing in the bullpen hierarchy has taken a hit this season, but a player of his experience would certainly be valuable down the stretch run as the Cardinals make a postseason push.
