Gant (groin) fired four scoreless innings in Triple-A Memphis' win over Fresno on Monday. He gave up three hits and two walks while also notching two strikeouts.

The 24-year-old right-hander has posted a 1.23 ERA and 1.23 WHIP along with a 6:3 K:BB in 7.1 innings across his two starts. Gant tore his groin during the last week of spring training after compiling a 1.50 ERA and 0.92 WHIP across 12 innings during the exhibition slate. The Cardinals boast a crowded and healthy bullpen at the moment, so Gant could remain with the Redbirds for the foreseeable future.
